Supported CAD Formats: STEP, IGES, STL & DWG

Supported CAD, mesh and drawing formats, with explicit capability boundaries.

Available now

Self-contained STEP / STP Part 21 models with displayable surfaces: single parts, multiple solids and embedded assemblies. Names, colors and instance placement are retained when readable. Support depends on actual geometry, not only the AP203 / AP214 / AP242 label.

Other supported formats

Also accepted: IGES/IGS B-Rep, STL/OBJ meshes (assumed mm), 3MF core geometry, static GLB/GLTF (metres normalized to mm), bounded ZIP packages, and DWG model-space 2D previews. ZIP: maximum 50 entries, 100 MiB expanded, no nested archives, encrypted members, symlinks or unsafe paths. glTF local resources must be embedded or packaged together; external URLs are blocked.

Not available

Native CAD formats, external-reference assemblies, STEP XML and downloadable model conversion are not accepted. Original feature history, PMI and manufacturing semantics are not interpreted.

Resource limits

The default is 50 MiB per file, 10 files per batch, 10 unexpired tasks per session and 120 seconds of processing per task. Display complexity is limited to 500,000 triangles and 2,000 assembly entries. The workspace displays configured upload and retention limits. A file within the byte limit can still exceed geometric complexity limits.

If processing fails

Use a smaller, self-contained STEP export with valid solids. A failed task shows its reason; it is never presented as a successfully measured model.
