JT is used for visualization, supplier review and, in some files, precise solid geometry. A .jt extension does not say which of those you received. CADProps reads the triangle (tessellated) geometry stored in a JT file. Exact JT B-Rep, PMI and the original feature tree are not read.
Open a JT file
Start with the JT viewer. Keep the original file unchanged. After processing, confirm the component count and one known dimension. Dimensions, area and volume come from triangles and are approximate. Files without readable triangle geometry cannot be shown.
If the file is rejected, do not rename it. Ask which JT version and content the sender exported, or ask for a STEP export.
Measure and export
Volume needs a closed mesh and mass needs a density you choose; treat both as estimates. After signing in, Convert offers STL, OBJ, GLB and mesh STEP. A mesh STEP contains triangles, not exact surfaces, so CAD and CAM applications cannot machine from it as a solid.

What this hub does not include
There is no exact JT-to-STEP solid conversion, no full PLM product structure, and no way to turn JT into an editable native model. When the recipient needs a solid, ask for a STEP export from the authoring system.
