Choose your output format, then upload a model. Available outputs depend on the source file.
Convert to STEP Convert to IGES Convert to STL Convert to OBJ Convert to 3MF Convert to glTF Convert to GLB
No account needed. Files are uploaded for server processing. Check the upload limit shown in the workspace before selecting a file.
Upload, convert, download
- Choose a target format above to open the conversion workspace.
- Drop a supported file into the upload area, or choose an existing workspace model. For an assembly ZIP, select the root model if prompted.
- Confirm an available output and start conversion. When processing finishes, download the converted file.
Supported conversion paths
| Input | Available outputs |
|---|---|
| STEP / STP | STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ, 3MF, glTF, GLB |
| IGES / IGS | STEP |
| SolidWorks SLDPRT / SLDASM | STEP |
| CATIA CATPart / CATProduct | STEP |
| Inventor IPT / IAM | STEP |
| PRT, Parasolid X_T, SAT, JT | STEP |
| STL | OBJ |
| OBJ | STL |
An extension alone does not guarantee a successful conversion: source versions, missing references and damaged geometry can affect the result. The workspace shows the outputs enabled for your selected file. Read the full format limitations.
Assemblies and ZIP files
Include the assembly and its referenced components together in a ZIP, retaining their relative folder paths. Choose the assembly root rather than an arbitrary part. Missing components cannot be reconstructed from the assembly filename.
What conversion preserves
STEP and IGES are geometry exchange formats; converting does not recreate the original feature history, constraints or editable design tree. Mesh formats approximate surfaces with triangles. Converting STL to OBJ does not turn a mesh into a precise CAD solid.
Check units, dimensions, component placement and warnings after conversion. For machining, verify the output in the receiving CAD/CAM system before using it. You can also view and measure the result or read about measurement accuracy.
Temporary files and privacy
Conversion uses the same temporary guest workspace as viewing. Files expire according to the workspace retention policy and can be deleted earlier from the file menu. Download the result before it expires. See the privacy and deletion policy for processing and diagnostic retention details.
