# Save and Organize CAD Files in Your CADProps Library

Use My files to find recent uploads, group models in folders, mark favorites, reopen originals and manage batches across devices.

This guide covers general CAD workflows. CADProps supports STEP, IGES, SolidWorks parts and ZIP assemblies, STL, OBJ, 3MF, static GLB/GLTF, and bounded 2D DWG/DXF preview and measurement. Validated conversions are downloadable. Partial assemblies carry warnings; properties cover loaded geometry only.

The workspace is for working on a model. **My files** is for finding that model again. Signing in ties saved uploads to your account, so the same library is available when you return from another browser or device.

## Sign in and check what was saved

Select **Log in** in the site header or workspace. Enter your email address and the six-digit code sent to it, or use Google sign-in if that option is available. After signing in, open [My files](https://www.cadprops.com/files/). The page shows account storage usage and the number of saved files.

If you uploaded a file before signing in, an eligible, unexpired guest file may be added to the account automatically. This depends on the file having finished or failed processing and on available quota. Check **All files** rather than assuming every previous browser upload was saved. A guest file that has expired cannot be recovered by signing in.

## Find a file without remembering its folder

The left navigation offers **Recent**, **All files**, **Favorites** and **My shares**. Use the file search to match a filename within the current view, then sort by recently used, name or size. The **Expires** column tells you when a saved file is due to leave the library.

Select a filename to reopen it in the workspace. A completed model also has a **Share** action, which opens it for link creation. The download action retrieves the original file for the account owner. A recipient of a share link does not gain that original-file download.

## Keep groups simple

Create a folder from the sidebar for a project, customer review or other practical group. A folder changes how files are organized in the library; it does not create a public page or grant anyone access. Select several files to move them into a folder together. Deleting a folder returns its files to **All files** rather than deleting those files.

Mark a frequently used file as a favorite so it appears under **Favorites**. Favorites and folders are organization aids, not permanent-retention settings. Search, sort and folder views also do not extend a file's expiry.

## Act on a batch deliberately

Select multiple rows to move them, download originals in a ZIP or delete them. Confirm the selection before deletion: deleting a saved source removes its online original and processing results and revokes any links to that source. Copies already downloaded by other people cannot be recalled.

The account holds up to **100 files** and **200 MB** of storage. Processing results and active share snapshots also use storage, so the displayed usage can exceed the sum of original file sizes. Saved files expire **90 days after the owner's last effective use**; opening a file or downloading its original counts, while merely listing files does not.
